Biography

The german mezzosoprano Ulrike Karola Cieslik earned her Bachelor's degree in classical voice (concert/opera) with Elisabeth Schmock in 2018 from the Akademie für Tonkunst Darmstadt, after completing her studies in vocal pedagogy at the Peter-Cornelius-Konservatorium Mainz. Currently, she is working with soprano Marina Unruh (https://www.marina-unruh.de) and the pianist Klaus Bernhard Roth (Cologne).

She has participated in masterclasses with Prof. Thomas Heyer (Frankfurt/Main), Marina Unruh (Frankfurt/Main), Judith Lindenbaum (Cologne).

She is currently working as a freelance singer and voice coach. Her projects include working with the Junge Oper Rhein-Main (www.jorm.de). As of 2020, she will be joining the Rhein-Main Chamber Choir (http://www.rhein-main-kammerchor.de). In addition, she is currently working on a lied project with pianist Miklós Vajna (Backnang).

Besides her classical trained activity, Ulrike sings and teaches a range of music styles, from Musical to Jazz and Pop music. She writes and composes her own songs and is working with Stefan Geidel (http://stefangeidel.de) on further musical projects.
